THE PET SONG CREATIVE COPYRIGHT & LICENSING POLICY

1. Ownership

All songs created by The Pet Song Creative  (including lyrics, composition, arrangement, and production) remain the intellectual property of The Pet Song Creative.

Purchasing a custom song does not transfer copyright ownership to the customer. Copyright remains with The Pet Song Creative unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You receive a personal‑use license to enjoy and share your commissioned song.

All songs are written, directed, arranged, and produced by a human songwriter, using a hybrid production workflow that may include modern audio tools (such as Suno Studio, Ableton and FL Studio).

 

2. What You Can Do

Your personal‑use license allows you to:

  • Download and enjoy the song

  • Share it with friends and family

  • Post it on social media (with credit appreciated but not required)

  • Use it in personal videos (e.g., birthday videos, memorials, pet montages)

  • Play it at private events

This license is non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, and non‑commercial.

3. What You Cannot Do

You may not:

  • Sell the song

  • Distribute it commercially

  • Use it in advertising, sponsorships, or brand content

  • Claim authorship or creative ownership

  • Upload or distribute the song via streaming platforms (including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and similar services) without our prior written permission. (see paragraph below)

  • Use it in any project that generates revenue

  • Modify, remix, adapt, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

 

Streaming platform uploads (including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and similar services) are not permitted under the personal-use license.

Songs produced by The Pet Song Creative may incorporate a hybrid production workflow using a variety of modern audio tools. Streaming platforms and music distributors maintain their own policies regarding AI-assisted content and may reject, remove, flag, or require additional information about uploaded works.

The Pet Song Creative makes no representations regarding the acceptance of any song by a third-party distributor, streaming platform, or content identification system. Customers wishing to distribute a song commercially or via streaming services must obtain a separate commercial license and written permission.

The Pet Song Creative accepts no responsibility or liability for any claim, rejection, removal, suspension, flagging, demonetisation, copyright dispute, content identification issue, or other action taken by any streaming platform, distributor, social media platform, or third party arising from an unauthorised upload or use of a song in breach of this licence

​4. Portfolio Use

We will not feature your song, pet story, or related materials in our portfolio, website, or social media without your prior consent.

​

5. Licensing for Commercial Use

If you wish to use your song for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Advertising or marketing

  • Business promotion

  • Brand content

  • Public performances

  • Streaming platform uploads

  • Monetised videos

You must obtain a separate commercial license.

Commercial licensing fees vary depending on usage.
